Ellen Tebbits is a 1951 children's novel written by Beverly Cleary. It is Cleary's second published book, following Henry Huggins. This humorous realistic fiction story tells the adventures of young Ellen and the new girl in her school, Austine Allen.
Another great story including yet another wonderful set of life lessons. My 8 year old grandson and I thoroughly enjoyed the reading.
This is the sort of book that i'd have my children read, if i were to have them. Ellen does sue learn a lot about his book, as kids will do. One of the things that I found to be kinda stance though is the wanting to clap erasers. Like seriously? Who wants to he dirty? I did like Ellen's friend Austine, because while she was quite different than Ellen, she complimented her, like kids will do. :)
