This book was jus so cute. The first Beverly Cleary books that i'd ever read were the Ramona Quincb books, when I was probably 7, or so. When I learned that Cleary wrote many other books, I jumped on this opportunity, since while Ramona could be sort of annoying, I did grow up with her.

This is the first time that I've read this book as an adult, and i was surprised to know that while Emily was 10 in this book, she had a maturity that Ramona didn't have. Sure, she had an over active imagination, and while I honestly thought that she'd get in to a bit more trouble than she did, reading her story was enjoyable. Watching her learned what she did, as far as using her imagination was a breath of fresh air. It's really a shame that parents don't have their children read these kinds …
