Paddy

On a legendary lake in the wilds of Ontario, Canadian naturalist R.D. Lawrence was determined to feel the very soul of the wilderness. Then one day he sighted a balled-up bundle of fur about to be attacked by a swooping hawk and by making a terrific racket with the paddle of his canoe he scared the hawk off and rescued the tiny frightened animal - a trembling beaver "kit" that fit in the palm of his hand.
