A good book, although a little disappointing compared to its predecessor. Basically you should read Jam's review, which I will quote in full since I cannot figure out how to link on this site. What's wrong with html, you fiend?
"Two of the characters I liked from the first book are missing for most of this, so as much as I enjoyed it, it gets a slightly lower rating for that. Still a great book, still actually original and still definitely worth reading."
Yeah, that. And I disliked very much that it was Inari who got shoved off stage in a really random way-- oh feminism, why won't you let me just enjoy books?

Good things about this book: expansion of theological/mythological cosmology to include non-Chinese religions, actual queer characters, (although, um, Williams, you might want to not kill the one and have the other get involved with a dude, it sort of seems to send a message I'm sure you didn't intend) more gods and demons, and Chen pwning, which just doesn't get old for me.
