This is probably not geared towards me. I'm one of those people who when I was a kid, was one of those few who in their schools had access to that new thing called a computer and one of the programs we got to use was Where in the World was Carmen Sandiego, where we were learning geography and history while playing the game. And then when I got my own computer at home - the Windows 95 version - I got a version of the program of my very own. So I grew up with a version of Carmen in my head after all these years. So when I saw this existed (and I guess there is a new show on Netflix now based on it), I though, hey, let's see what it's about, especially since it wasn't a long book to listen to.
I say it's probably not …

I say it's probably not geared towards me because the story told was not what I imagined or took with me after all these years. So I would try to ignore that and just imagine it as someone else - and it was actually really good. It wasn't what I expected (and saying the things that I didn't expect is giving away spoilers, so I'm trying not to go there), but in the end, it's a story about how she became the world's greatest thief - and how she got her trademark look and name. While it's a book meant for the younger ages, it has a lesson that we all can learn. So this isn't my Carmen Sandiego, but this was a pretty darn good version of her and her story.
