I loved it! Listened to it in a day, it's not too long. I love that it does what good fiction is supposed to do - it's honest and it's a fantasy in the right ways. It's definitely a young adult book, but again, I find myself not annoyed with teenage problems when they're done realistically and honestly (like the timescale, for example), when they help my empathy grow.
I appreciate the little conversation between the author and the narrator at the end of the book too, in the audible version.
The word "wholesome" comes to mind when trying to describe this book, and Merriam-Webster has it as "promoting health or well-being of mind or spirit", yup, that's this book.
