Scarlett Bernard is a null - any supernatural being that comes close to her is neutralised and turned temporarily human. Some supernaturals are drawn to her because they like feeling human, some find her scary. She works as a supernatural crime scene cleaner and in this book finds herself accused of a gruesome murder by the head vampire in her region.
