A school on the Indian Ocean - a hopeful place that changes everything

On the Bay of Bengal, Léna wants to forget her life in France. Every morning she watches the Indian girl Lalita flying her kite. When Léna is swept away by an ocean wave, Lalita seeks help from Preeti, the fearless leader of a self-defense group for young women. Léna survives and comes up with a plan. She wants to teach Lalita to read and write and, together with Preeti, she founds the first village school that will change everything.
