Chris reviewed Along the Path of Torment by Chandler Morrison

Pitched somewhere between Brett Easton Ellis, the Marquis de Sade, and Matt Stokoe, "Along the Path of Torment" treads familiar ground as to the depravity of Hollywood, which we have long known all about. Narrator Ty gets a tour of hell courtesy of Beatrice (p*rn name Dolly, yes, we're all familiar with Nabokov's work now). Ty, due to having been abused in his childhood, seeks fulfilment in violence and degradation, most of it sexual. In a way it's nothing new, but Morrison is a fresh voice and if you can get over the reputation of his "Dead Inside" (which probably did too well as a send-up of edgelord lit), is a good if very dark read.
