Review of 'Profit Over People' on 'Goodreads'

Probably a 2.5 rounded up. The first three chapters were a better experience for me than the rest, but this is just very much of its time, rooted in particular government activity. It’s not written to be applicable beyond that for the most part, and I had been hoping for something broader. This is a collection of articles/speeches sort of on the same topic, but not originally intended to be used as a primer.

I appreciated the introduction because I don’t know that I’ve gotten a definition of neoliberalism that was so clear before. I also got something out of the first couple chapters - this idea of the US and the West in general preaching one thing and then in practice doing something very different. Because it’s ok if we do it for our purposes because those are always right and good.
