I'm not yet done with this, and I'm not even sure why I'm continuing to read it! The writing is abysmal: often the reader can't even tell who's speaking over what about. Well, now I've finished. The writing got better, but bizarre similes were still scattered throughout. The story itself, overall, was good, though a bit disconnected. And several characters importance was unclear. The underlying romantic tension was totally unnecessary! It seems like that should have been a whole different book.
