The city was already a ticking time bomb of publicity-hungry vigilantes with superhuman enhancements and Zoey knows this turn of events is unlikely to improve the situation. Now, she and her team of high-tech tricksters have to solve this bizarre murder while simultaneously keeping Tabula Ra$a from descending into chaos.
I think the Zoey Ashe series it a fun playfull twist on classic #cyberpunk.
I almost gave up half way through. When I just didn't care about any of the characters.
But then the pace picked up again. And the story ended up being surprisingly touching.
As with the first Zoe ash book the enemy is toxic masculinity. Only this time it is weaponized more in the virtual sphere than with implants.
We see Zoe grow and take control as she faces a Q-anon level conspiracy.
As usual, Wong delivers his wonderful action scenes, body horror and humor on a plate of liberal values.
