This murder mystery set in a fantasy world was a fast-paced thrill of a book. The first-person narration was engaging and added humor and a lot of depth to our main character. I think fans of Harry Dresden would likely find something to love in the similarly unlucky (and lacking in instinct for self-preservation) protagonist, Mennik Thorn. The mystery was compelling and the action nonstop, making for a very entertaining read that was hard to put down. Overall a very enjoyable read.
