The book is about her career as a child actress and her difficult relationship with her abusive mother who died in 2013. It is McCurdy's first book and was published on August 9, 2022, by Simon & Schuster.
A collection of anecdotes from the author’s life. Each one is relatively short- about five minutes long at most, if you’re listening to the audiobook (which I highly recommend)- but they each pack a punch. Absolutely have had some similar experiences, my heart goes out to Jennette. Please read this book if you haven’t yet.
It needs all the content warnings. Food disorder, Abuse, ... a lot of it. But it is written sooo soo good. All the feels while reading it.
