I assume this was written just to appease fans on Agatha's origin story, because this was flimsy at best. As someone who has never read any of the Agatha Raisin mysteries, this wasn't a good introduction at all. I have read one of the author's older mystery/romances and enjoyed that, but I thought this was not well written at all. The only blessing is that it's super short.
