It may simply be that the accent used for this audiobook caused me to not and enjoy it as well as I could have. Whereas I had often been under the impression that the reader should put as much real and official-ness as possible into a performance of the book, I found than trying to follow him, the narrator, took far more effort than the book merited! I found myself reading the 1st part of it, the 1st two thirds, 2 or 3 times in order to follow the story and get a feel for it. Sigh.

I tend to be plot bound for books that I read. Consequently, when the 1st part of the book doesn't have very much plot – and when it does is confusing and mixed in time and space – that doesn't count well for my enjoyment/benefit from said book. But by the 3rd time I read things, they at least got a little clearer. It wasn't a bad book, but the overall point was sort of hidden. In the end, I know that appropriate forgivenesses were granted, and I guess that various relationships are left to the reader to figure the conclusions. It was okay.
