Review of 'Stolen: A Letter to My Captor' on 'Goodreads'

This is not a book I would normally have chosen to read. But it came with the audiobook humble bundle and we were driving a lot. I was skeptical at first but that quickly turned into fascination with this incredible story.

First off: at the beginning the perspective seems a little weird (especially if you never see the subtitle and do not realize it is meant to be a letter), as the narrator appears to be talking to someone. So it's an "I - you" kind of writing style. It must have been hard writing like that, but she really manages to pull it off.

This book is full of suspense and while we expected some of the twists and turns there were still surprises. I enjoyed this quite a lot and we finished listening to it within two days.
