I read this years ago when I was very young, a fantastic story about good Vs evil. The story is very moving at times and I can remember being pretty scared as the evil creature is hunting them down...I also remember trying to see if the family dog was able to communicate with me using a scrabble board, he ended up just lying on the scrabble board and having a nap. I'm not sure what this proved; did my dog not want to talk to me or was Mr Koontz a liar?
