The audiobook started really slow and I was unsure if I was going to like this book. However, after putting in some time I grew increasingly invested in all the characters. All of them were really fleshed out and I enjoyed all the different POVs. The setting was well described and towards the end, when you get to acknowledgements you find that the author really did her homework which I appreciated. For a historical fiction, it seemed very accurate with the period and reminds me of how far we have come with women within society. The ending I found was worth. Again, just a little slow in beginning but I found resolution worth it and everything makes sense and is logical. The stories really felt like they could have been real as someone who has watched quite a bit of true crime.
