Tansy knew her time was near. Nobody got out alive. Created from stem cells at Wellington/Clark Labs, they were nothing more than a commodity. Then the most amazing thing happened.

She escaped.

With a newborn baby in tow, they make it to Reno and that’s where they met a transgendered woman named Betty. She took them into her home. For a while, it looks like Tansy might be able to learn enough about the world to have a life.

But the corporation didn’t like loose ends.
