The latest Reacher book is a nice digression back in time to 1992, when Reacher was still MP. He gets to investigate murders across the US which are linked to something that happened in India in the 60s. This is more an investigation and not Reacher cleaning up some small town. It features powerful CEOs, Israeli special forces and the acting Secretary of Defense. I gave it 4 stars because I enjoyed it more than "No Plan B". The writing is, of course, OK and the story a bit too obvious, but it's comfort food and once a year I need that.
