this book is about nikki six which was on heroin and he ended up keeping a diary for one whole year.
This was not a 'fun' read, and I was glad to be finished with it, but I'm glad I read it. It offered insight into the soul and thoughts of someone who, though part of my life for years because he is part of music, has always been simply a face and a name to me ... and people are so interesting. Observations from others who knew Nikki Sixx at this time and in his early years add perspective.
I loved the band Sixx:A.M. and their album The Heroin Diaries Soundtrack, so I wanted to read the book it was based around. The Heroin Diaries is an amazing story of Nikki Sixx (best known as the bassist of Mötley Crüe) and his struggle with his drug addiction. The Auto Biography show snippets of the rockers diary and the things he went through. I wish I could write a diary that way but I don’t have any addictions to write about.
