Review of 'Behind the Scenes' on 'Storygraph'

Another enjoyable, angsty, funny read by Karelia Stetz-Waters. However, I didn't love it as much as previous reads.

I loved the sexual dysfunction aspect. That was really interesting and not something I see much of in our genre. Stetz-Waters always does a fantastic job of making her characters real and deep. The humor was spot on, also. Loved the family and secondary characters.

So what was my issue that made this a 4 star instead of a 5 star read? It was mostly the Cherry Covered Apron arc. By itself, it was fine but the way it linked the characters was too much for me to believe. It might not be a big deal but it made the entire story less believable. There was already a lot going on with these two characters and that extra arc pushed me over the edge to feeling like there was too much happening. …
