The bush soldiers

Geoffrey Sawtell had seen and never forgotten the horrors of the Great War. Now, in August 1943, there was every chance that soine of those horrors at least were about to be repeated. For the Imperial Japanese army had invaded Australia and was holding its entire coastline. Sawtell and his drifter companion, Frank Counihan, are,eating into the vast empty interior, systematically destroying anything that might be of any use to the advancing invaders. Three more resisters join them in their struggle, and as this desperate band of men near the ancient heart of the threatened country, they have to contend not only with the enemy forces, but with the awesome power of the land itself...
