Komarr review

Somehow I couldn’t really get into the central mystery of this story, nor the romance plot, much until the end. The switching back and forth between points of view worked much less well here than it did in Mirror Dance, maybe because I just found Ekaterin to be a bland character. A bit of a lull in the series, compared to Mirror Dance and even Memory. I’m looking forward to A Civil Campaign, though.

Reread I don't know how many times but finally adding to Goodreads. The first book of the Vorkisigan series in which Miles is fully post-military career and comes into his own as an Imperial Auditor. Introduces the lovely new character of Ekaterin Vorsoisson, as well as the wonderful Professor and Professora Vorthys. A bit murder mystery, a bit espionage and kidnapping, and a bit domestic drama, altogether a fun mix although probably not the best place to jump into the series.
