Breq refuses to flee with her ship and crew, because that would leave the people of Athoek in terrible danger. The odds aren't good, but that's never stopped her before.

Well, this ended how I thought it would
Finished all 3 books in the Imperial Radch trilogy: Ancillary Justice, Ancillary Sword, and Ancillary Mercy.
Possible spoilers, but not really.
I wasn't sure if I liked Ancillary Justice. But, I read the next based on advice in a book group. I did like that Ancillary Sword and Ancillary Mercy picked up right where the previous books left off, which really helped for the flow. The story truly was a trilogy, though the middle book was much more a bridge and it's own story was a little weak but enjoyable.
