Holy moly that escalated more than I'd expected.
Everything felt a bit more clean than volume 1, with everyone feeling a bit more natural and things progressing in ways that seem to tie together neatly. At the start of the volume it felt like it would be a side quest right off the bat, which was annoying, but its relevance to the greater plot and the world developed really well over time.
This series went from something I was debating the worth of reading on to something I'm very interested in. Great volume.
