The Lords of Midnight

The novella describing the world and characters found in the computer game "The Lords of Midnight", chronologically before the events of the game have occurred. The story generally follows Lord Luxor and his squire Morkin on the tail end of their journey to a secret meeting of the Wise in the Tower of the Moon. On the way they meet a Skulkrin and a Fey, and surprising details are revealed about their past.

Originally written in 1983, this novella was included in printed form with versions of the game made for the ZX Spectrum and Amstrad CPC in 1984. A slightly different print run was published with the Commodore 64 version of the game released in 1986. Electronic versions in ePub, PDF, and Kindle formats were released in 2012.

It has an indirect sequel called "Doomdark's Revenge: The Icemark Chronicles" originally published in 1985.
