The Land: Founding

This books is a good execution of a litrpg.

Demons/Shadowy gods/generic background evilness get the world playing a RPG that is a copy of the the land that stops them escaping into the real world. Then switch the game for the real thing.

One player gets a particularly lucky start and basically ends up being super powerful super quickly.

Things that excite me about this book is that there's some sort of village building aspect to it, which is interesting and a bit different. They were good interesting women characters (frequently lacking in litrpg), and there was action that wasn't totally ridiculous and one sided.

Enjoyed it and I'm going to run off and read the sequel right away if possible.
