This is a book about what it really means, practically, to follow your dreams when you've been socialized as a woman through adulthood. As a nonbinary AFAB person I found some of these things felt relatable to me (like the coping mechanisms I've adopted in a society that makes it difficult to get my voice heard) but some did not (like fearing taking big steps towards my goals or lacking belief in my own abilities).
The parts about communication were tired and based on faulty linguistic notions that the ways women communicate are inherently less effective. It's practical in a Sandbergian sense, but this section undermines Mohr's message of changing the status quo.
The most valuable parts to me were the chapters on Hiding and Leaping. They revealed some critical ways I was avoiding taking concrete steps toward goals I care about and helped me identify immediate ways β¦
