Ah, Discworld! This story goes back and forth between Death, an undead wizard, and a team of wacky wizards. I loved Death's story (of course), and also really liked the wizard who died, but didn't, and had to muddle on. The team of wizards dashing about being silly was less interesting, though they definitely had their moments. [return][return]Death's story is that he's given notice, and handed his own hourglass showing his death coming quite soon. He abdicates his duties (hence the wizard who died, but wasn't collected), and proceeds to try and live an ordinary, mortal life. His customary detachment crumbles, and he's taken aback by his emotions. It's a lovely story.
