Meet Daisy Johanssen, hellspawn, citizen of Pemkowet (the local supernatural hub) and human/eldritch liaison for Hel, nordic goddess. A kid drowned in dubious circumstances, and Daisy ends up trying to find out what happens exactly. It's enjoyable, it clearly has a "Sookie Stackhouse" feeling to it, and it's definitely one step below the Kushiel books (which was also what bothered me about the Saints Astray books). But still, an enjoyable read.
