Fun thriller with some interesting twists

I've just recently started reading Dean Koontz's books, and this one really kept me engrossed. Like Stephen King, he writes "light" supernatural thrillers (in that they can be fast reads), but they still leave enough mystery to keep a reader interested. As mentioned in the plot summary, the main characters are artist Dylan O'Connor and his brother who is on the autism spectrum, and they get attacked by a mysterious "doctor" character, who changes the course of their lives. I won't give away too much of the plot, but suffice it to say that it's gripping and intriguing enough to make you want to find out where it's headed.
