A great survey of a very diverse field. Some work that kicks back hard at settler bullshit; some that is much more contemplative and/or personal. Like any such collection I didn't love all of it, but I've ended up putting books by more than half of the features poets on my wishlist, which I think is great success for a compilation.
Great collection covering a broad range of writers. I was particularly taken by Layli Long Soldier's work, but all the authors have strong voices and clear perspectives that make for a compelling journey through the anthology.
If you enjoy poetry you should like this - a variety of topics, individuals and viewpoints, all tied together simply by the fact of the poets’ being Native Americans in the 21st century.
