"Miss Lillian Hargrove has lived much of her life alone in a gilded cage, longing for love and companionship. When an artist offers her pretty promises and begs her to pose for a scandalous portrait, Lily doesn't hesitate . . . until the lying libertine leaves her in disgrace. With the painting now public, Lily has no choice but to turn to the one man who might save her from ruin. The Duke of Warnick loathes all things English, none more so than the aristocracy. Review of 'A Scot in the Dark' on 'Goodreads'

What a super fun book, I normally might take a week or so to read a book like this but I finished reading it in about two days, I was hooked from the start. Like the first book in the series, the characters are so much fun to read, it's real enjoyable. There's little things that you could argue about, saying they detract from the story, but it had me emotionally invested the whole way through. I read the first book long enough ago that I'd forgotten how some of the carried-over characters related to one another, it would have been more fun to read these closer in time so it was more fresh in my memory. I pre-ordered the next book in the series.
