My name is Peter Grant and until January I was just another probationary constable in the Metropolitan Police Service. My only concerns in life were how to avoid a transfer to the Case Progression Unit and finding a way to climb into the panties of WPC Leslie May. Then one night, I tried to take a statement from a man who was already dead.
Fun, with some call backs to older issues of the graphic novels. Exactly what I expect from Rivers of London issues.
Still not a friend of the art style and the dearth of the pithy, sarcastic narrator voice that makes the Rivers of London novels so great, but the story is spot on in this one. Although, I am kind of sad that it is over so quickly. I do think it would have made a better novella than a comic. Some scenes are just too short to work, e.g. Dominic and the 'demonic' goats. Also, worst back cover image ever, has nothing whatsoever to do with the main plot.
