The Upside of Unrequited

Un roman Young Adult sans aucune surprise, qui transpire la guimauve et donne souvent le sourire, mais totalement oubliable. J'ai bien aimé, mais c'est clairement une de mes lectures de l'année 2017 dont j'aurais pu me passer totalement sans que cela me gêne plus que cela.

i wish things were more fleshed out. it's a book that feels good for the times, and the cast is diverse racially and sexually, with people who are generally open-minded. i wish these topics were given more time to unfold, rather than name dropping a term and then leaving it. if you name drop, it's probably more important than one time usage.

and i didn't love any of the characters. i outright did not like cassie. molly's lack of spine was annoying at times, and i really wanted to like reid, but he just blended into the woodwork.
