I found this autobiographical book very inspirational about trees, their value well beyond building material and how they fit into the ecosystem and environment overall. The author exhumes passion for nature and has very impressive history and career working with conservation, field biology, museums and brining up two kids by herself. She's a feminist before it was widely spread and has had to put up with a lot of discrimination from workplace as she was endeavouring to be a professional not a secretary.
Overall this book is lovely on so many aspects of which encouragement to explore the nature and protect it for the bettering of the planet and all its Flora and fauna is only a part.
