Review of 'Romeo and Juliet' on 'Goodreads'

3 stars

It's way more a tragedy than a romance. Too many people die in it. There's too much dramatic irony and so much figurative language that I got a headache from reading it at times. It's still a classic, though so I give it three stars. The story was overly dramatic. I think that Romeo should've gotten his parents to help them leave Verona together. That could've worked out. Also, if he'd waited five more minutes before taking the poison, he probably would've saw that she wasn't dead. I liked that there was a translation on the next page. That was REALLY helpful for me.
