Review of 'Darkmans' on 'Goodreads'

A breathlessly rambling 800+ page book that is so tightly focused on its characters that at times it feels claustrophobic. Simultaneously funny and creepy, the story defies description yet is incredibly well-structured. (Not to mention the constant appearances of etymology and a sinister court jester are just amazing!)
