reviewed The Darkest Hour by Erin Hunter (Warriors: The Prophecies Begin, #6)

A great, action-packed - if a little rushed - finale worthy of the Warriors name.

4 stars

A glorious finale to the cult classic cat game of thrones series. Or the first arc, anyway. Everything is neatly wrapped up, Darkstripe finally chooses a side, Lostface gets the justice she deserves, Fireheart has a talk with his uneasy apprentice, a jailbreak, a public execution, love, drama and fighting galore -- as per usual for the Warriors series! The book has plenty of moving, memorable moments to enjoy, but the sudden, rushed introduction of Scourge, and the somewhat disappointing fate of Tigerstar and finale leave a slightly sour aftertaste. Still, the book holds it's own and it's definitely worth a read! Though, if you're already this deep in, I doubt you need to be told that~ x>
