This novel was a lot less interesting than the first two (for me). I found the story slow moving and the characters less 'robust' and 'engaging'. The strongest residual images I have of this novel involve fog. I'm certain fog is a big part of life in the Shetlands but it doesn't make for a very riveting read. I will try another in the series to see if things perk up.
