Not so much a sequel as a small collection of short stories, only five of which feature Mowgli and friends. The best known of the stories is 'How Fear Came', which tells the story of how the tiger got his stripes.

Review of 'The Jungle Book' on 'Goodreads'

The fact that my daughter said the best part of the book was the map at the beginning and then all she talked about was that she wanted to watch walking the Himalayas again shows just how dull this book is. I was expecting it to be quite the adventure story, boy living in the wild, loads of dangerous animals... Kipling pretty much has everything all lined up for him but he still manages to cock it up. Only gets 3 stars because I've been left too bored to give it less/more stars.
