This was the first GRRM novel I've read outside of the ASOIAF series, and it definitely has a different feel. It's interesting to pick up on words and phrases that are used in passing in this book that are concepts that ASOIAF revolves around.
The plot and character development become somewhat predictable as the book moves forward, but overall it is an enjoyable young adult fiction sci-fi read.

Interesting premise. I really like Haviland Tuf, his dialogs are really funny at times. I finishd it in 2 sittings, so that's saying something. Overall one of the better books i've read this year.
