This is the first book of Lori M. Lee's books that I've ever read. It's a young adult novel with an interesting concept of time.
Kai is the main character of the novel. She lives in a very labrynth like city. One morning she wakes up to find that her brother brother, who is also her guardian, Reev, is missing. She then goes off on a quest, with her friend/romantic interest, Avan, to find said brother.
There's absolutely nothing that I didn't like about this book. It was fast-paced, and full of action. I actually wish that it'd been a bit loner of a story, but it looks as though there will be two more books in the trilogy.
While Avan is her fomantic interest, the story focus's more on the fact that Kai wants to find and save her brother more than the romance.

Kai doesn't take any punches, and her over-all strength is what I like mostly about her character. She'll do anything for the one person that she loves.
