Six months have passed since the release of Nexus 5. The world is a different, more dangerous place.

In the United States, the terrorists – or freedom fighters – of the Post-Human Liberation Front use Nexus to turn men and women into human time bombs aimed at the President and his allies. In Washington DC, a government scientist, secretly addicted to Nexus, uncovers more than he wants to know about the forces behind the assassinations, and finds himself in a maze with no way out.

In Thailand, Samantha Cataranes has found peace and contentment with a group of children born with Nexus in their brains. But when forces threaten to tear her new family apart, Sam will stop at absolutely nothing to protect the ones she holds dear.

In Vietnam, Kade and Feng are on the run from bounty hunters seeking the price on Kade’s head, from the CIA, and …

It's hard for me to say something about this book. I liked it less than the first in the series, but the set up for it did make it a much more tricky book to be good. As it is, I think it did it's job well. I wouldn't like it as a standalone though, it's thoroughly a second book, it follows up on what happened in the first book and sets up a problem for the third book, and that it does fairly well.

A great sequel, building on the first book, developing from there. I enjoyed reading this very much. The descriptions of Nexus and its diverse applications are just fantastic.

Everything I liked about Nexus and then some. Also a great description of an AI/Upload going crazy.

If you enjoyed Nexus, you can read this, but I think you don't have to. Nexus was pretty good on its own. But if you read Crux you should probably also read the third book.

Second Nexus book finished! Will there be a third? I do enjoy these techno-thrillers, but the writing is a bit stale. That said, I'll continue to read these! Ramez can only get better. :)
