This book takes me back to my childhood. I loved absolutely everything about this book, except for Henny. I do find her annoying, but I loved the other children. Ella, and Sarah are probably my favorites.
Parents who have coming of age girls should totally have them read the book, because I think they'll learn quite a lot. Especially if the coming of age girls don't like cleaning. See, "Dusting is Fun," which I think is one of my favorite stories in this book.
Also, if you'd like to learn a bit about Jewish holidays, and not be preached too, this is also a good book to read about such things.
Each of the girls does have their own personal_you, and I think that Sydney Taylor does a really good job at giving each of the girls their own voice.
Now on to book two!
