SPACE...it's fucking big.
These are the voyages of the starship, A.S.F. Willful Child. Its ongoing mission: to seek out strange new worlds on which to plant the Terran flag, to subjugate and if necessary obliterate new life life-forms, to boldly blow the...

Loved the book, it is incredibly funny, in a slapstick-way. I don't like slapstick, but this is a little bit more tastefully done. It's action packed, high octane adrenaline rush through the entire book. It has the best aliens ever. Really.
It is a must-read for Trekkies, especially TOS Trekkies. Gods, it had me LoL so often.
And it is Steven Erikson. What's not to like ;-)
Why not more stars? It's not perfect. It's not poignant. The book is one continuous chain of Galaxy Quest-like episodes and that's hardly literature. It is better than the first Discworld books but less heart-plucking than the more deep-less …

It is better than the first four Dresden files books, but quite different... they have more story ;-) Because, like the ST:TOS it is seriously lacking a in a real plot. But the plot is not what this story is about ;-) It is about going boldly where no man has gone before. With fists raised and with unusable and unsuitable weapons against incredible odds. I have to admit, I'm a bit in love with Captain Hadrian Sawback. I mean, what's not to love. Well, except for his character and stuff.
