Beauty

Got it as part of Women of science fiction and fantasy humble bundle on a whim, and this happened to be the first book I tried "ok, how does this work" on. Worked like a charm - I read all night (well, late into it anyway). The book is what it says - a retelling of the story of Bbeauty and the Beast. Adjusted for inflation to match the musings and imaginings a girl who loved the fairy tale growing up might have. Everything is greater, the magic castle, the Beast, the history and character of the Beauty. The morality of the whole thing is as questionable as ever and never adressed in any way. There is not an unexpected twist in the story, nor did I expect one. Thoroghly enjoyed it as I love me some fairy tales.
