I bought this at the same time that I bought the author's "Labyrinth". I like the idea of this genre - a kind of mystery mixing past and present. However, L. and this book were just not my favs. Too much silly romance IMO. I listened to the audio version at x2 speed. I missed nothing. I listened to the 18 hours in under 1 week. It provided a distraction at a time when I needed a break from bigger issues in real life. I listened with the "I paid for this so I have to listen to every minute attitude."
